The round self-locking washers are made of mild steel, with a galvanized coating; each washer is 1.5 in. Used in conjunction with weld pins, insulation anchors or lacing anchors to fasten insulation in place. Nail, glue or screw the insulation plate with pin to the ceiling or wall, then impale the insulation board into the insulation pin. Finish by pushing the self locking washers onto the insulation pin. For best results, distribute the insulation nails evenly. Do not to compress the insulation when installing the self-locking washers. Hanger loading should not exceed 3 pounds per hanger (0.75 pounds per square inch).
